How often do you have one of those days/weeks when nothing goes right? It's OK, we've all been there. But, you can create positive actions from interrupted workflow if you just remember to focus on what you have complete control over: your effort and your attitude.
Proficient professionals start with a plan: to-do (actions) list, goals, objectives and priorities. The idea is to get started, work smart, work hard and create successful outcomes. But, we also run into unexpected delays and distractions. The keys are to not lose your cool, adapt as much as needed when and where needed, communicate to those involved (the client, your boss, co-workers, vendors, collaborators, etc.) and remember the bigger picture. However you got off track - big chunks or small increments - work back towards your plan in that same way. The way you plan for success can be implemented into turning unproductive times into better-than-expected periods.
