Jesus performs a miracle recorded in all four Gospels— multiplying bread and fish to feed more than five thousand people. He wants to do more than feed people with natural bread, but as before, they miss what he is really doing. We have seen this before in this Gospel. Jesus says or does something in the natural realm as a way of pointing to the spiritual realm, and the people don’t receive it. | John 6:1-15
