This year marks 50 years since humans last walked on the moon. NASA is poised to return there with the new Artemis program that starts with the launch of a rocket this fall with the goal of landing humans there by 2025. The ultimate goal: a moon base that will help us launch missions to Mars within a decade. However, technical issues have canceled the most recent attempted launches and the cost of the program keeps ballooning. 

In this edition, Mosheh talks to David Kerley, correspondent for the Discovery Channel Space Launch Live and editor of the Full Throttle Newsletter. He also previously covered space and aviation for ABC News. 

The conversation with Kerley explores the mission to return to the moon, the latest NASA challenges, the plan to get to Mars and the overall state of space exploration, including the competition between Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Richard Branson and Boeing. They also discuss “For All Mankind,” the Apple+ drama that imagines a world where the US-Russian space race and missions to the moon never ended.
