GHS- Patient Kate MacLeman and her husband Tommy join the show to her experience at Dana Farber and the importance of screening

Kate was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in July 2020. She had been experiencing symptoms for about a year and eventually brought them up to her PCP which were largely ignored. She finally went in for a colonoscopy in July 2020 and a tumor was found. 

Kate has been in treatment for about a year. She has gone through 12 rounds of chemotherapy, 30 rounds if radiation, and had various surgeries. 

She finished her treatment on July 24th and as of now, she is cancer-free.
