The biggest hurdle that we must overcome as women is acknowledging that we are all that our human rights can be infringed upon no matter your status. Whether rich or poor, whether educated or not, we live in a world that works against us and has been designed for men. Zanelle and I discuss where our rights as women are infringed, how to become aware when your rights are being and ultimately what to do when you find there has been an injustice against you.

Zanelle Felicia Nokhuthula Thabede-Vilakati is a 34 years old female residing in Mbabane, Eswatini. She has experience working in civil society for human rights projects including HIV prevention and management and the advancement of women's rights through advocacy and programming. She has a background in Law studies with the University of Swaziland as well as studies in Sociology and Psychology with the University of South Africa. She is a mother of two daughters and enjoys spending days out in the sun with her family, but nothing too aggressive. She also enjoys spending time with her extended family, her in-laws and mother and sister.

Zanelle has just been appointed as the National Director of a Women's Rights organization called Women and Law in Southern Africa Educational Research Trust(WLSA). She also started an initiative called Women Working Together (WWT) in 2013 with a colleague of the civil society space, with the aim of giving women the platform and opportunity to discover self-awareness. Zanelle is passionate about helping women alleviate from a poverty status, avoiding contracting HIV/AIDS and making decisions for themselves.
