Mario D’Ortenzio is soft-spoken with an easy smile. He began his career as a football coach at Morningside College, but found his great joy was leading kids to Christ through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  He soon joined the FCA Staff full time in 2000 and later became vice president of the Breakthrough Ministry. Then came an incident that rocked him to his core, and ultimately led to his founding Death2Life Revolution (D2L), reaching the hopeless, hurting and suicidal with love, hope and healing.

D2L is now a worldwide non-profit organization that reaches youth and adults who are living in darkness. D2L exists specifically for the emotionally hurt, physically abused, and spiritually struggling youth of the world to reach, teach and guide.
