More than one million Californians have already cast their ballots in the gubernatorial recall election, which is just three weeks from today. However, there’s still a lot of confusion among voters as to how to fill out that ballot, and how the recall election process works.
Governor Newsom has been campaigning on the slogans “Just Vote No” and “One and Done,” meaning just vote no on question one, the recall itself, and then send your ballot back without voting for any of the 46 replacement candidates. Many of his supporters have been doing just that. Other voters aren’t sure how the write-in process works, many are writing in names that won’t get counted, and others aren’t sure if they should vote for someone on question two or not!
For more, KCBS Radio news anchors Patti Reising and Jeff Bell, as well as KCBS Radio's political reporter and host of this segment, Doug Sovern, answers those questions and dispel the confusion.
