Viktor Frankl, writing from the madness of the Holocaust, reminded us that we don’t get to choose our difficulties, but we do have the freedom to select our responses. That feels like something to think well about as we wander deeper into the current crisis. Listen as Mike Woodruff suggests a response – hope. His argument is that we need to understand exactly what the Bible means when it uses that word, because it is different from what a lot of people think it means. Hope is a word that shows up often in the Bible, and Mike will cite a half dozen passages, but spend the most time in the book of Habakkuk.
