In this era of social media when people are constantly on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, it's very easy to get in contact with old flames. But re-connecting in this way is a very dangerous practice. I read a statistic that says that the word "Facebook" now appears in one-third of all divorce proceedings. Initially it may seem harmless to re-connect with someone from our past, but we have to be very careful because an emotional connection always precedes a physical connection. And, an emotional affair is just as much of a sin as a physical affair. God wants to protect you and help you guard you heart and mind. If you will submit to Him, He will give you a check in your spirit to stop you from falling prey to dangerous temptations.
