Our new sermon series is titled “Jesus Came Preaching”.
What did He preach about?
Over the coming few weeks we are going to look at some of the Scriptures and the great subjects on which He taught.
Today we are talking about What Jesus Preached About His Church.
More than one hundred times in the Gospels Jesus is reported as using the terms, kingdom, kingdom of God, or kingdom of heaven.
On only two occasions is He reported as using the word church, namely, in Matthew 16:18 and 18:17.
The added light thrown on the nature and purpose of the church by Acts and the Epistles is doubtless a fulfilment of Jesus’ promise.
The purpose of this message, however, is confined to “What Jesus Preached about His Church.”
