Jesus Christ is risen! His resurrection is the truth that validates the claims made in Scripture that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. John's gospel account of the resurrection shows the progression of understanding for Christ's followers with each of His appearances which crescendos to the purpose of the book, "but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, you may have life in his name."
