Other Side of the Game (Part 1)

By Amanda Parris. Beverly is a university student in the 1970s looking to join the Black activist movement in Toronto. She meets resistance from Khalil, the male leader who questions her commitment to the cause. Decades later, in 2006, Nicole is a new mom trying to create a better future for her young son. She runs into her ex-boyfriend Devonte, who’s fresh out of jail. Both Beverly and Nicole work to understand these complicated men.
