Send us a textCandy's son Rashard was sentenced to 188 years in prison at the age of 16. He was charged with several robberies, gun charges and malicious wounding. Although Rashard does admit the he did committ these crimes however; he believes that he was overly sentenced because he was young, black and his family had a lack of money.  Rashard states that his "mom was a typical black mother going out provide for her kids and keep them out of trouble but when she would go to work 2 shift I would leave the house".  Candy has been trying everything in her power to help get her son home. While he is been in for 25 years now she believes that " Rashard has grown up and is not the same child he once was".
