I realized this in my personal struggle over the past two years of losing weight and getting healthy. In 2020, I injured my ankle and, since then, have fallen into a spiral of eating poorly and not exercising. Many pounds later, I was grasping onto whatever I could take - another book, another podcast, or another nutrition program that was tangible and within my reach. Yet nothing worked for me. And then, I realized this was the same pattern I had when I dealt with my divorce.

✔️ Bearing the weight isn't just physical. I was carrying the weight of my trauma around my mom, who passed away. I was still holding the pain I had been through with my ex-husband and our divorce. These impacted my ability to move toward my goals. 

✔️ Ask for help because you will stay stagnant without it. It wasn't until I asked a professional coach to weigh in and see a different perspective than mine, that I could see through my fitness and nutrition goals. So many times, when left to our devices, we are our own worst accountability partners. 

✔️ Where is it in your life right now that you are self-sabotaging? 

What is getting in the way of your healing and happiness? Please pay attention to what you are doing and what isn't working for you, and have the strength to acknowledge and do something about it. 

Until you allow yourself to be honest and start paying attention to the adjustments instead of holding on to the “what-ifs,” you will find yourself in the pain of being stuck.
