On August 23, 2019 I was digging up potatoes in the hot sun in Driggs, Idaho when I had a bunch of different ideas for a podcast come to my mind. It all sounded so, so cool! I'd been planning on making one for months, almost years.

It was too much for me. I had to do something, and I was tired of sitting on the fence of my mind.

I decided that the very next day I would do everything I could do to make it happen. On August 24, 2019 this podcast was officially started! From that day I've done around 35 solo episodes and 10 interviews with industry experts, businessmen, entrepreneurs, and also some of my peers. It's been quite a ride!

In this episode I broke down just a few of the big lessons that I've learned since that first time I hit record on the first episode of this show.

1. The power of planning ahead when it comes to planning and recording episodes
2. Creating feels better than consuming (at least for me)
3. Podcasting is a different beast - different than any other opportunity I've pursued
4. Done is better than waiting and waiting for it to be perfect.
5. The power of asking follow-up questions about what you're hearing from others.

Knowing all of these things definitely puts me ahead of the game and I'm very excited for what the next year has to offer. I have some big plans! Thank you so much for helping and encouraging me on this journey so far. Huge kudos as well to the people who have been guests on this podcast - you've already helped me so much and I'm thankful for your friendship and mentorship.

I am launching my book today! As of right now I am still trying to get it finished.
