Moving on after a layoff, or any other ending, is hard. So many emotions, feelings, processing and challenges. It can bring up unproductive childhood beliefs, memories, and past failures as though they all happened yesterday. How do we cope? Today, on I Care About You, we talk about being laid off, endings, and the negative self-talk it can bring, along with untrue thoughts about our future, our worth, our abilities, and so on. This is a candid conversation about my recent layoff, and the issues endings bring to our thoughts and feelings of self-worth. I discuss some positive ways that you can work through the feelings and thoughts as you move on to greener pastures.
