The Writer continues his admonition to the Jewish believers to not follow in the footsteps of the Israelites who, on the verge of entering the Promised Land, doubted God’s promises, rebelled and disobeyed God, and were prevented from entering the Promised Land and receiving God’s blessing of “rest”.  He tells them the key to avoiding this behavior: exhort one another daily. He encourages them to remain faithful to Jesus to the end, thereby proving they are indeed truly saved.
