Neil Chatterjee is a former Commissioner and Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and he joins us on the podcast this week for the first time since our first season in 2020. He talks with host Chelsea Henderson about some of the most pressing energy issues facing America, permitting reform and how to cut the red tape on partisan bureaucracy.
He also explained how difficult it is to build and expand transmission lines across personal property, some of the things he is watching across the energy landscape including the Russian-Ukraine war and how extreme weather events are effecting the reliability of energy grids across the country. Finally, he proposes an interesting idea that resembles one the Senate successfully executed to a different sector over 15 years ago.
