Wow, there has been alot of turmoil in the markets lately! The root cause for this has been because of tariffs, uncertainty, and general concern for the overall state of the economy. Many large institutions are predicting a recession, and so people are starting to allocate to cash and other safe havens to avoid loss of assets.

- Scott Bessent recently said he wants an economy that supports the bottom 50%, not just the top 10%.
- This includes policies like no tax on tips or overtime, 0% loans for U.S.-made cars, and a manufacturing revival.
- They are looking to reset the economy to set a strong foundation for the next generation.
- There’s a lot of pain right now, with markets starting to roll, but the long-term aim is middle-class recovery, not just helping a small elite.
- Over the medium and long run, things are expected to recover.
- In the short run, recession or depression fears are driving asset sell-offs at bargain prices as people seek safety.
- This is what we’re seeing now, with many insulating themselves using treasuries, gold, silver, and cash.
