We’ve already seen in Kansas how the Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade can galvanize voters who support abortion rights, and deliver surprising results. Now, less than 11 weeks before the November midterm elections, there’s a new national campaign launching to keep abortion front and center, and help elect candidates who support reproductive rights.
The announcement today comes from 'Planned Parenthood Votes', the advocacy and political arms of Planned Parenthood. It’s a $50 million dollar campaign, an unprecedented investment for this organization, and it comes on top of similar campaigns announced by other abortion rights groups. It will focus on more than a dozen states, including a campaign in California to elect candidates and drive turnout.
