TL;DR: I graduated this month and this is the speech I wrote for the Class of 2020.
Long story: I was nominated to speak at the winter commencement at my university. I wasn't chosen and I was fine with it until I saw the disappointing pre-recorded commencement. This is the speech I would have given and while it's not the best speech in the world, it's something I wanted to say to the graduates, especially the ones who don't feel like they didn't accomplish much this year (basically a letter to myself and anyone who felt the same way).
If all you did this year was just survive, that's enough.
Happy New Year!
