Prof Lall is a graduate of IIT Kanpur with a degree in Civil Engineering. He received his PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Prof Lall is the Director of the Columbia Water Center and Alan and Carol Silberstein Professor of Engineering.
