The City of Fayetteville selected 14 students to work in various departments throughout the City as part of the ICON Summer Internship program. This program allows Cumberland County high school students ages 16+ to apply and interview to work in paid positions with the City of Fayetteville. It is a work-based learning educational program that provides students opportunities that allow them to connect school experiences to real-life work activities through career exploration, exposure to the real workplace, and achievement of work readiness skills.
