Governor Gavin Newsom is saying that the state will intervene in an ongoing court case in which a federal judge barred San Francisco from cleaning up homeless encampments and that he hope it gets all the way to the supreme court.

Newsom called his own words quote "a hell of a statement coming from a progressive democrat."
