Hey everyone I’m Gary Hoban and welcome to Refinery Life Australia.
This week we start a new series titled “Standing firm under stress” the messages will come from Peter’s first epistle.
Peter knew what it meant to be under pressure, and he wrote to people who were under the pressure of persecution.
His book speaks to the personal needs of God’s people today.
God's People Have a Living Hope
Introduction
Hope, along with faith and love, is one of the three personal graces of a Christian.
1 Corinthians 13:13 (AMP)
13 And now there remain: faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love.
Peter had experienced the death of hope when Jesus was crucified and the renewal of hope when Jesus was resurrected.
