This week on Offscript, Alli gave an update on Cameron's Cozy Socks! Alli and her mother-in-law donated all the physical socks on Cameron's Anniversary of getting his angel wings, and we wanted to let you all know what this amazing charity was able to accomplish!
We also played the game, Got It! Which was a blast.
**WARNING - We did have some technical difficulty during this episode, around the 19 minute mark the audio turns robotic. We had been recording with our webcam to get a video ready for YouTube but this created a problem for our audio.**
About Cameron's Cozy Socks:
Cameron's Cozy Socks was created by Danielle James and Allison Lines, the mother and wife of Cameron. Cameron was an all-around wonderful man. He made jokes that would have you laughing until your cheeks hurt, he was there when times got serious, and you needed a shoulder to cry on or just to vent. He was the daddy that didn't mind dressing up as a princess for his daughter or rolling around on the ground with his son.
Unfortunately, in the end of October 2020, Cameron was in a motorcycle accident which took his life 5 days later. While trying to pick themselves up and put themselves back together, this mother and wife came up with the idea that instead of just being depressed about losing him, why not create something to honor him.
Cameron loved socks. He would ask for them for birthdays or Christmas, or he would ask for money so that HE could buy socks! We decided to take that and run with it.
The number one needed item in homeless shelters are socks.
Cameron's Cozy Socks are taking donations in his name and will be donating bags of socks to local homeless and womans shelters in our area.
Either, a financial donation, @CameronsCozySocks on Venmo, where at the end of October we will use that money to personally go pick out different socks to donate. Or a physical donation of new or gently used socks. Each pair of socks donated will be stickered with Cameron's Cozy Sock's logo so that the word of all the good that this charity is doing gets out there.
