On November 14th, the City Council approved the adoption of the Social District ordinance for the creation of a temporary Downtown Social for 12 months, from December 2022 to December 2023, to operate seven days a week from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

A social district allows people to drink beer, wine, or cocktails as they walk through a defined area of downtown Fayetteville.
