It is Recall Election Day Eve, with President Biden in California for the first time to help Governor Newsom close the deal and keep his job. Meanwhile, the governor’s challengers are barnstorming the state in one last push to try to remove Newsom and take his place.
The polling data and the ballot return numbers suggest the governor is probably safe, but one never knows, especially since we don’t know how many Republicans and other recall supporters will turn out at the polls in person tomorrow.
For more on the final day of the recall campaign, KCBS Radio news anchors Patti Reising and Jeff Bell, as well as KCBS Radio political reporter and host of the segment, Doug Sovern, spoke with Thad Kousser, professor and chair of the Department of Political Science at UC San Diego.
