The Oakland Police Department has now lost its seventh Chief in a matter of years due to an alleged cover up of police misconduct. 

On Wednesday, February 15th, new mayor Sheng Tao announced she was firing Chief LeRonne Armstrong. 

But was anyone surprised? What will his next move be? And what does this mean for Oakland’s future?
