Early voting is well underway in California and around the nation, with ballots pouring in, in record numbers—in some places.
A couple of national surveys find that about 15% of voters nationwide have already cast their ballots, and the USA Today/Suffolk poll finds Vice President Kamala Harris with a massive lead among those voters, 63 to 37%. But her lead is much smaller, about 13 points, among those who haven’t voted early but still plan to, and among voters who say they will wait until Election Day to vote, former president Donald Trump has a big lead, about 17 or 18 points.
