This episode is another special one because it is a guest feature episode, a friend of mine is going to share her story with mental health, and the journey that she is on handling it during this unprecedented time. Carol tells us a bit about herself, when her struggles with depression began, and how the pandemic has greatly affected her because she is a nurse who has to deal with COVID in so many different ways. Because she also wants to help raise awareness and remove the stigma related to mental health, Carol is doing her graduate research on new grad nurses and the effect that the transition period in combination with the current state of the world has on their mental health. We share insights on how to cope with the pandemic and it's effect on our mental health, as well some advice for people who are interested in getting help dealing with their mental health struggles.
