We examine the controversial passage from 1st Corinthians 14:34-35 that seems to instruct that women are to remain silent in the church and that it is disgraceful for women to speak in worship. Could this really be what Paul was teaching for the Corinthian church, and if so, does that mean it applies to all churches, everywhere - even today? How would that interpretation fit into the rest of Paul's teachings, even here in the same letter? Is it consistent with New Testament thoughts and practices?
