Psalm 24 "Integrity"

Martin Luther's Evening Prayer
Martin Luther's Evening Prayer
Episode • Apr 5, 2023 • 29m

Few values in our century are as neglected as personal integrity, the kind that treats others by the same standard that we apply to ourselves. We are tempted to change identities, shuck off old promises, leave human problems behind without solving them, and borrow when we cannot repay. The Psalmist could stand before God in his integrity because his was the voice of Christ, the One Righteous Man who took the punishment of us guilty ones. He restores integrity through forgiveness, and the presence of God's Spirit in our lives. This message includes Confession, the Kyrie, and Gloria, and is followed by general prayer, a collect & blessing, and the hymn' "Draw us to Thee."
