It's labor day week, let's talk about a less known labor movement leader, Emma Beatrice Tenayuca. She was an American Labor leader and union organizer, yet, she's not as well known as other Mexican-American labor leaders that we know today, like Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta. She fought for Mexican workers in Texas, but is most well known for her role as a leader in the 1938 San Antonio Pecan shellers strike.
