During this series titled “Great Imperatives for Effective Living” we will look at some of the essentials.

We will then change our focus a bit to Paul’s letter to the Philippians and “Great Imperatives for Christian Living.”

Today we are discussing An Imperative Regarding the Negative and the Positive.

For those that are unsure what an imperative is, it means, an essential or urgent thing.

Romans 12:2 (AMP)

2 And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
