John 5:18-29

1. What it means.

It means four things…

a) imitation
“Therefore, be imitators of God as beloved children.”
-Ephesians 5:1
“beloved"- esteemed, dear, favorite, worthy of love

b) affectionate revelation

c) life
Zoe is the absolute fulness of life, both essential and ethical, life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ.

d) judgement

2. Why it matters.

1. God has always been present with His people.
2. It makes Him fit for the work of redemption.
3. God has personally done something about your sin.
