Show Notes for Episode #19: Bots Gone Wild & QuickCoin!
Today is June 9th 2014 – Welcome to Episode # 19 of Bitcoins and Gravy, a weekly show about anything and everything having to do with Bitcoins and the Bitcoin community.
On today’s show Lij and I get Tokyo on the line to talk with Jon Southurst. Jon is a business-tech and economic development writer who discovered bitcoin in early 2012. His work has appeared in numerous blogs, UN development appeals, and Canadian & Australian newspapers. Based in Tokyo for a decade, Jon is a regular at bitcoin meetups in Japan and likes to write about any topic that straddles technology and world-altering economics. Jon tells us about the mysteries of Mt. Gox and the Bots that aren’t talking.
We also take a trip to Baghdad By The Bay (San Francisco) for a talk with Marshall Hayner of QuickCoin.co. Marshall tells us how Quick Coin may just be the easiest way in the world to send bitcoin to friends and family using Facebook. He also turns us on to the idea of a Bitcoin Fair via BitcoinFair.org - a project that sounds both educational and like a whole lotta of fun!
