SovereignBTC Episode 9 – The Taxman Cometh
On this weeks edition of the SovereignBTC podcast we have a serious discussion about the IRS and the implications the new ruling on “virtual currencies” has on Bitcoin and your economic freedom. To help our listeners gain a better understand of the fraudulent nature of the Income Tax, we play an interview I did years ago with Joseph Bannister, former agent with IRS Criminal Division. The interview explains how most Americans don’t actually earn “income, there is nothing in the law that makes Americans liable for paying the income tax, and it explores the fact that the income tax was never Constitutionally valid and is therefore invalid. But remember, even though these three points are true, the state does not care about what is right or wrong or what is legal or illegal, they only care about stealing your money and compelling your obedience. We then bring you this week’s Bitcoin quote of the week, this time from Bill Miller, prominent investor and Bitcoin Bull.
Finally, we bring this weeks featured interview, this time with a twist, John Bush is the one being interviewed! John was interviewed by Jack Spirko of the Survival Podcast, who gets 100s of thousands of listens, on the topic of Bitcoin. We pick up the interview after Jack asks John what the implications of Bitcoin are for the prospects of Liberty. John and Jack then get in to everything from merchant adoption to using Bitcoin to create alternative societies.
