John 16:5-15

1. God places great value on the human body
-1 Corinthians 6:13-20

2. The Holy Spirit is at work in the world

Specifically to convict the world of three things:

1)  SIN- “concerning sin, because they do not believe in me” 
-John 3:18
-John 8:24

2)  RIGHTEOUSNESS- “because I go to the Father”   
- Galatians 2:21

3)  JUDGMENT- “because the ruler of this world has judged.” 

a. It is important that we think rightly about God, v. 29
b. God is patient, v. 30
c. Everyone from everywhere is commanded to repent, v. 30
d. Judgement day has been fixed by God, v. 31
e. We will all be judged by a righteous standard (Jesus), v. 31
f. The resurrection gives us assurance as to the reality of judgement, v. 31
