God can do anything except overcome a complete lack of discipline;. This is an intentionally provocative statement. Salvation is by grace alone through faith. Yet we are called in the New Testament to make every effort to become all we can be through the sanctifying work of the Spirit with our obedience to His leading and the guidance of the Word of God.
