While children in the United States know Santa Claus and his elves, in other parts of the world, children have more sinister holiday characters to worry about - namely, Krampus! This pagan character is St. Nic's "ride or die" dealing with the naughty list... maybe it's giving children who've been bad a lump of coal, a swat with his bundle of birch switches, or carrying them off in a basket to be drowned, eaten, or just sent to Hell! We may have missed Krampusnacht (Dec. 5), but here's what we need to know for next time!
