In 1692, Abigail Williams and her cousin Betty Parris, two young girls belonging to the very rigorous Puritan community of Salem, begin to show worrying signs of demonic possession. Soon, other girls join them, claiming to have the same symptoms. For their community, all this has only one explanation: they have been bewitched, someone has cast a spell on them, but who and why?
