Long before Odysseus set off on his epic Homeric journey, he was just a boy who believed that the island of Ithaca was all that existed in the world. On his twelfth birthday, though, everything changed. Promises made to his grandfather reshaped his path as he set off for adventure and to learn of  lands beyond what could be seen.
