John 8:48-59
1. We are free from seeking our own glory, v. 50

So what can I take away from this passage?
a) I was created to live forever
b) in this body I am going to suffer
c) its not about being set free (Greek) but about being forever (Christian)
c) for the Christian, death is the transition to Life
d) the Holy Spirit resides in us as assurance of these things
e) these truths are intended to encourage me
f) to be away from the body is to be with the Lord
g) I was created to live a life that pleases God
h) my life on this earth will matter in heaven
3. Jesus is the divine son of God, v. 59
What does this mean for us...
1. We have a God who keep this word
2. God has acted personally, at great cost to himself, to do something about our greatest problem.
3. You have a resource you can trust in the Bible.
4. Life change is possible.
