Earlier this week, in a nation already bitterly divided across many issues, political lines further hardened with the release of a leaked draft of a Supreme Court opinion that would overturn the right to an abortion.
       
The draft opinion written by Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. has the potential to upend American politics as we turn our attention to the midterm elections later this year.
