Health visitors often get thrown into running groups - whether they are antenatal groups, weaning, minor illness or first aid; even team meetings or group supervision sessions. Sometimes we can go out for home visits and end up running an impromptu health promotion group!
For anyone who has felt overwhelmed by the prospect of running a group with little to no experience or specific training in this, know that this is totally normal! Also tune in and we will try to share some tips and ideas from our own experience; loosely based around the ’forming, storming, norming and performing’ model.
