There is the risk that courting all those more moderate Republicans and conservative Democrats could alienate young progressives in particular, especially those who are unhappy with the administration’s support for Israel in its war in Gaza. In an election that’s this close, losing a few thousand votes here and there could make a difference in those razor-close battleground states.
