In this story, Sun Wukong becomes a doctor, cures the king's illness, and defeats a monster to rescue Queen Golden Saint. The monster, Jin Ling, is formidable, capable of spewing fire, smoke, and sand. It turns out that Jin Ling is the mount of Guanyin Bodhisattva, who had run away to cause trouble in the mortal realm. The three golden bells are the bells hanging from its neck.
