We all know that the shortage of affordable housing is an ongoing problem in
California, contributing to the homelessness crisis and to some extent, an exodus
of Californians to other states, as they search for a place to live that they can
afford.
Governor Newsom has been quite aggressive of late as he pressures
cities to build more housing, and on the local level, governments have been
easing restrictions to expedite housing construction. How many Californians are
really leaving, and how many more are thinking about it?
