After two weeks of torrential rains, atmospheric rivers and bomb cyclones wreaking havoc on California’s infrastructure and claiming human lives, late Sunday night, President Biden declared that an emergency does exist in the state of California.
But what does that declaration mean for the state? And what are some ways we can prepare for similar climate emergencies in the future?
